Cedars of Hope Canada supports newcomers, families, students, and individuals facing hardship by connecting them with practical resources and opportunities for a stronger future.
Mission statement
Our mission is to provide practical support to people facing financial, social, and settlement challenges in Canada and beyond.
We believe that everyone deserves access to basic necessities, meaningful opportunities, and the support needed to build a more stable life. Cedars of Hope Canada works to help individuals and families navigate difficult circumstances with compassion, respect, and dignity.
Our work focuses on immediate needs while also supporting longer-term progress. Whether someone is seeking housing, food, employment support, educational assistance, or help getting started in a new community, we aim to connect them with useful resources and a path forward.
What we support
Newcomer support
We assist newcomers as they begin settling in Canada, including support with finding housing, exploring employment opportunities, accessing essential resources, and understanding available services.
Food and essential needs
We support individuals and families experiencing hardship by helping provide access to food, clothing, household essentials, and other forms of practical assistance.
Housing and stability
We support efforts that help people find safer, more stable living arrangements, including social housing and housing-related assistance where possible.
Employment support
We help people identify employment resources and take practical steps toward greater financial independence.
Student resources
We support students through application assistance, volunteering opportunities, grants, and tuition-aid resources.
Relief of poverty
We work to relieve poverty by supporting people in need in Canada and, where possible, assisting communities beyond Canada as well.
How we work
Practical help. Compassionate support. Respect for every person.
We listen to people’s needs and focus on practical ways to help. Our approach is based on:
Dignity: Treating every person with respect and compassion.
Access: Helping people find resources and opportunities that may otherwise be difficult to reach.
Community: Working with individuals, volunteers, donors, and community partners.
Hope: Supporting steps toward greater stability, independence, and opportunity.
